Good Frog Kits will begin shipping on April 7, 2025
We have a new spin on a favorite kit today. I have reworked the Good Frog in sport weight yarn. The original kit and pattern was knit in worsted weight yarn producing a bigger size frog which I love. I did the rework in sport weight yarn for a couple of reasons. In general, I want all of the Good characters (bear, frog, bunny and mouse) to be the same finished size as a collection, and because I am planning a clothing collection that will fit all four of the friends in the future.
So today we have an adorable “new” kit for an old froggy friend. I absolutely loved revisiting the Good Frog pattern. What a fun knit. The frog is the easiest of all of the Good friends to knit, perhaps a good starting point if you’ve been hesitant.
The original Good Frog pattern now has an added page at the end with the instructions for the sport weight version with a few photos. If you already own the pattern you will get an updated version automatically in your Ravelry library (you have to click on update), and if you purchased the pattern through our website you will get an email with the updated pattern.

Included in the new Good Frog Sport Weight Kit:
* Enough yarn to make one frog and one set of clothing. The yarn is our Wisconsin Woolen Spun Sport Weight, made exclusively for us for this kit, in the colors Laurel (green), Rain Shower (gray), Birch (white) and Harbor (navy blue).
* Frog safety eyes and black thread for mouth embroidery.
* A download code for the updated pdf pattern is included for FREE with the kit. The code is printed on a card found inside the kit bag.
* Optional add-on buttons: Three beautifully handcrafted 1/2-inch buttons, comes as a set on a card. Each set can slightly vary due to the natural qualities of the wood.
* It all comes packed in a stamped cotton project bag with an illustrated tag by Susan.
