Well, I decided to design a New Gnome for the winter season ahead. It’s completely charming, fairly simple, and pretty quick to knit. I think you’ll really enjoy it.
We’ve pulled together a beautiful custom-made kit with six colorways in our Wisconsin Woolen Spun Sport Weight yarn. The colors are the perfect palette for the New Gnome pattern. The colorways include Birch (creamy white), Dungarees (denim blue), Laurel (mossy green), Pine Tree (dark green), Jam (red), and Rain Shower (light heathered gray).
You’ll have enough yarn to make several gnomes by switching the colors around to your liking. I made several samples to show ways to mix and match your kits. I had so much fun.
We are also throwing in the Wee Woolens Ornament Set pattern (as a Ravelry download code) and a set of our Tiny Wooden Hangers and candy cane baker’s twine with the kit. This is because this same yarn will work wonderfully for these little sweaters, hats, and mittens. You can do a fun combination of knitting sweater ornaments and gnomes. Win, win!
So let’s get right to it!
Here is what is included in the New Gnome & Wee Woolens Kit:
*Enough of our Wisconsin Woolen Spun Sport Weight Yarn to make several New Gnomes and Wee Woolens Ornament Sets. The six skeins are in the colors Dungarees (blue), Jam (red), Laurel (mossy green), Pine Tree (dark green), Rain Shower (heathered gray), and Birch (white).
* Enough mohair locks to make one curly beard on your gnome. (You could maybe stretch the locks to make two beards if you go lightly on each.)
* The patterns for the New Gnome and the Wee Woolens Ornament Sets are included for free as Ravelry download codes. The codes are printed on cards found inside your kit bag.
* A set of 6 of our Tiny Wooden Hanger and a cut length of candy cane baker's twine for the sweater ornaments.
* This all comes packed in a printed cotton project bag with an illustrated tag by Susan.
I hope you enjoy this seasonal kit combination - gnomes and tiny sweater sets - what could be better than that?
