Well, the day is finally here for the gorgeous colorwork Ruska Sweater Kit designed by the talented Jessica McDonald. I have had my eye on this one for quite a while as Jessica started posting about it on her Instagram account @jessicamknits many months ago and she used one of her favorite yarns, our earthy Wisconsin Woolen Spun yarn.

I just finished my very own Ruska. I love how the colorwork yoke extends into the body and sleeves. It gives the sweater a unique look. I also love the heavier worsted yarn and some of the dainty color patterns Jessica selected. Ruska really is a masterpiece.

We have beautiful Ruska Sweater kits available for you to preorder today. The yarn is being spun and hand-dyed at the small mill right now.

Please Note: The original sweater and my version are made with a slightly darker gray as the main color. This run of kits includes a slightly lighter gray called Rain Shower, every bit as beautiful.

The Ruska sweater comes in a size range from 32.75-inches to 65.75-inches for the bust measurement with 2-4-inches of positive ease recommended.

Included in the kit will be enough yarn to make one sweater in your selected size in a hand-stamped project bag to hold your project and yarn as you work.

NEEDLES
One 32 inch (80 cm) US size 7 (4.5 mm) (or size needed to obtain gauge), and one 32 inch (80 cm) US size 5 (3.75 mm) (or two whole sizes smaller than gauge needle) circular knitting needles.

NOTIONS
One stitch marker, waste yarn, and a tapestry needle.

GAUGE
