Here is Kay’s description and inspiration for the Prairie Socks:
"These socks were inspired by the stories of Laura Ingalls Wilder.
Laura wrote about her childhood, growing up on the prairies of Kansas. As I was knitting these socks, the stitch pattern reminded me of the wheat fields that Pa Ingalls farmed.
I would like to imagine that this is the kind of pattern that Ma would have knitted for her family.
I set out with the intention of creating a pattern that was relaxing to knit whilst still being engaging, exciting, and addictive!
The pattern includes video tutorials to demonstrate the texture pattern and Kitchener stitch.
It is perfect for all levels of knitter and comes in 3 sizes to accommodate all your family members.”
